Testimonials & Impact Stories
My name is Lorna Parks from House of Joy Childcare. I would like to thank The WOM Resource center and the Infant Toddler cohort and Miss Jenny Maynard for providing the infant and toddler training for us early childhood education practitioners to continue to improve our establishments. Jenny’s availability exceeded my expectations. I could call at any time given time and get a timely response. The opportunity given to network and bounce ideas off of each other was priceless. The assistance with technology, the access to-resources that were available and the time she shared with me to submit our application for my Great Start to Quality rating was more than enough and she came back, allowing me time to revise my documents and accomplish becoming a five level Licensed home childcare provider!
We always had a nice balance of healthy and good tasting snacks at our meet ups.
I looked forward to our in person, meetings, knowing that I could always laugh and smile with Jenny and the other Childcare owners, as well as their teachers.
Our suggestions were always considered when it came to what classes we desire to have in the future I look forward to American Sign Language classes for our young infants and our nonverbal children with cognitive concerns
I truly enjoy the the many zoom training sessions that provide information and assistance on trainings classes and help keep us in compliance with Licensing and maintaining our levels for Great Start to Quality.
Jenny's patience, humor and expertise was well received by myself and others! Continue to support and educate the teachers of our future.

"I received the best news this morning that I had received my CDA credential. I am so excited and just wanted to thank you and all the staff at Leaps and Bounds for all of your help and support throughout the process. From Kylah Washington's well-composed and organized emails to get us started. Chamayne Green and Debra help us at each of our Cohort sessions and check-in sessions. I definitely felt like I had so much support to keep me motivated from beginning to end. I could not have asked for a better group of people to learn and grow from during this process and I am so happy to be able to share my success with you.
Thank you all so much,"

"I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the opportunity that you have provided us by being our Quality Improvement Coach. Working through self-reflection with you has continued to help improve our practices, even though we maintain a high level, we are continually learning. Sheila, working as a team to understand the indicators has helped support long-term development and success here at Babes. Forming this strong relationship with you has helped build connections, and is helping to create a collaborative learning environment. The teacher's response has been amazing. I have been witnessing AH-Ha moments from the staff and have been thrilled with their motivation. We just can't thank you enough for your continued support."

"We were able to interact with peers and learn different ways to bring diversity to our classrooms and centers. Resources and group work opened the possibilities and different ideas I can incorporate at work. It brought further awareness to my lack of cultural/ inclusivity representation within my class through questions and strategies to improve."

"This training really showed that you can incorporate science into a lot of different aspects in the classroom. It doesn't always need to be structured or overly planned out. You can classify or observe other aspects. I will try and incorporate the 5 science elements more in my classroom. I found the training engaging because it included practical examples and interactive activities that I can apply with the children."

"Noor Academy administration and staff want to convey our heartfelt gratitude for the valuable CDA training provided by Leaps and Bounds Family Services. The dedication of Leaps and Bounds in empowering our staff to achieve the CDA certificate is admirable. We appreciate the excellent, professional, and organized training provided, along with empathy and compassion.
It was not an easy journey; our seven staff members enrolled in this program went through some lows, and sometimes, it felt like the CDA credential could not be achieved. We were multitasking with work, family, and this course. But to our support, the Leaps and Bounds training staff were always available to help us via emails, texts, phone calls, and Planhero. Ms. Green even came to our center to help us with the application process. We want to thank the Leaps and Bounds team for everything they helped us with!"

"The most helpful part of the training was learning about child development stages and how to create activities that match each child’s needs and abilities. I will focus on using more age-appropriate teaching strategies to support infants’ and toddlers’ growth. I’ll also work on improving my observation and documentation skills to better track each child’s development and needs."
